Our Mission

The mission of Black Affinity Group is to create safe spaces for Black students and adults that provide fellowship and opportunities to learn about Black history so we can enrich our future.

Our Guiding Principles

Representation: Representation matters because it fosters a sense of belonging, reduces negative stereotypes, and promotes understanding.

Fellowship: Creating space for Fellowship strengthens social connections, promotes learning and growth, and provides encouragement and support to our community.

Pride: Cultivating pride in Black culture involves celebrating and appreciating Black identity, heritage, and experiences. It’s also a form of self-care and a powerful way for Black students and adults to find joy and belonging.

Leadership: We identify opportunities for Black individuals to lead and influence decision-making across various sectors, take collective action, and feel empowered.
